We didn't do much Easter on Saturday between painting the room and getting everything moved back in. Matthew and I did meet some friends at the Mayan that evening to celebrate our friend's, Jack Anderson, baptism. He and Matthew were born about a month apart when we lived in San Diego. His parents, Tom and Melina Anderson, are our good friends we made while living there. They moved to Bountiful the same time we moved to Draper. We hardly ever get to see them anymore with the way life goes.
For Easter Sunday, the Easter Bunny hid all of the kids baskets. Christopher found everyone's basket but his own, he finally found it after some hints from the Easter Bunny's spies. After church, Robert got some cute pictures of the kids for me since I finally gave up.
We had a very nice dinner the usual spiral ham, funeral potatoes, strawberry shortcake. After dinner was over, I was so tired I could hardly stand it. We had my parents and my cousin Angela over for dinner. They must have thought I was insane, the kids were all wild with sugar rushes and I was at my wits end at the finale of a week of the pounding of flooring going in, kids who couldn't stay away from all the cool tools, a whirlwind paint job, and Easter festivities.
As I write this, I now know why I have felt so insane, it wasn't me, it was a crazy time! I need to give myself a break!
